Tourism, one of the fastest-growing industries in the world, provides employment opportunities for millions of people. India has been registering exponential growth in Tourism over the last several years. The same is the case with Kerala, which has already become a leading international tourist destination in the country. Enhancing the skills and nurturing the knowledge required to get employment in this vast and diverse industry is challenging. Pazhassiraja college is a pioneer in tourism education by taking up the challenge of developing and running a tourism course for the first time in the state. Pazhassiraja College started the Bachelor Degree programme in tourism way back in 1995 and has been successfully conducting tourism courses since then. Currently, we offer Master's Degree as well as Bachelor's Degree programmes. Our Alumni are well placed and most of them became leaders in this industry, both in India and abroad.
In addition to inculcating the knowledge, we take efforts to enhance the skills of the students along with aiming at their overall development. Moreover, placement assistance is provided to those desiring students. Having a grand alumni span over many countries, students face ease in getting placements as well. In addition to the All India tour, students are given on-the-job training in the tourism industry as well. Tailor-made programs with both theory and practical subjects as a part of the syllabus and comprehensive teaching techniques including case studies, role-plays, group discussions, presentations, group research, and travel laboratories are provided often for their professional development.
