Women's Development Cell

University Grants Commission (UGC) recommends the measures for ensuring the safety of women and programs for gender sensitization on campuses. According to the task force appointed by UGC, the recommendations include the need for setting up Women's Development Cell and Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell at colleges and universities. "Women’s studies centre in universities and women’s development cells in colleges must be strengthened and provided the means to function autonomously. At the same time, they should be enabled to work together with gender sensitization cells and committees on campuses on educational and preventive work."

The Women's Cell in our College is constituted to maintain a harmonious environment at the Institute, to foster women to pursue their work with dignity and respect. The Cell has been working to generate awareness on gender equality issues. Its goal is the overall development in all spheres of their life. The targeted group includes all UG, PG students, women from nearby communities, and primary and secondary level students of nearby schools. This academic year (2021-22) activities of Women's Cell are conducted in association with Kerala State Women Development Council (KSWDC).

Women's Development Cell at Pazhassiraja College, Pulpally is a body of Five lady teachers, presided by the Principal.
