Under the auspicious of the Postgraduate Department of Economics Melekkappu Ooru, ulsavam was conducted in the colony on 26 January as usual. The rituals begin with the traditional tributes to the gods after the Poojas. After the Pooja, the prasadam was contributed to the devotees. The official ceremony was inaugurated was Dr.Varughese K. John, Principal, Pazhassi Raja College, Pulpally by lighting the lamp. The inaugural address was given by our Head of the Department Prof. M.T kuttiyachan. They were felicitation by our Bursar Thomas Mannithottam and NAAC co-ordinator Prof. K. Raja Gopalan and Mr.Shelji Mathew, Head of the Department of Tourism. Uru Mooppan (member head of the tribe) Balan was also speech few words. A vote of thanks was given by Amal Marcus. The students and the teachers from the department of economics have actively participated.
