A photo exhibition on Malabar and Freedom Struggle is organised in the Department to sensitise the public on the role of Malabar in Freedom Movement.

To create a general awareness among the students in the college, Department of History has organised a photo exhibition on the topic Women in Freedom Struggle.

The Department of History has organized a blood donation camp in the college on 2nd July 2019. This camp was organized with the assistance of Taluk Government Hospital, Sultan Bathery. A team of doctors and supporting medical staff collected blood from 60 students. The principal of the college Dr. Anilkumar K. inaugurated the camp in the presence of the CEO of the Rev. Fr. Varghese Kollamavudy and college bursar Rev. Fr. George Alummuttil. Dr. Joshy Mathew, Manoj Mathew, Dr. Rani S. Pillai, Lizy P.K. and Ranimol S. managed the camp.

The Department of History id distributing the IJCT scholarship in the college. This registered charitable trust in USA is regularly providing financial assistance to 10 students in the college every year. The total amount of this educational scholarship per year is Rs. 15000/- . An amount Rs. 1500/- is distributing to 10 students selected from the various departments of the college regularly. The selection of the students from the departments is made by the respective department committees under HODs on the basis of merit. The college is availing this scholarship from Trust for the students since 2017. Dr. Joshy Mathew, Head, Department of History is the co-ordinator of this scholarship programme in the college.

The students of the Department of History supported the flood affected tribal people in the colonies of Pakkom and Chekadi. We have supplied food items, dress and medicine to the tribal people in the relief camp

Under the auspicious of the Department of History, World Skill Day is observed with and exhibition of handicrafts made the students of History

The Faculty and the students of the Department of History feliciated the Arunraj for securing First Rank in the BA History in University of Calicut.

The History Department is organising the the Pazhassi Raja Award Ceremony every year in the college. This award is instituted by Pazhassiraja College Community.
